(May 5, 2010) New Braunfels, TX – This coming Saturday, May 8th, from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m., Communities in Schools celebrates the grand opening of their new resale store, CommUnity Resale, located at 1024-B W. San Antonio Street in New Braunfels.
The public is invited to join in the fun and get a sneak peak of the new store! The event boasts a DJ, complimentary refreshments, face painting and free balloons for the kids, and door prize giveaways at regular intervals throughout the day.
All proceeds of the resale store benefit Communities In Schools of South Central Texas.

Communities In Schools of South Central Texas (CIS) exists to provide school based social services that help students to succeed in school and make positive life choices. CIS South Central now serves more than 3,000 case-managed students, as well as more than 20,000 students who have received at least one selected CIS service, in 32 schools in 4 school districts (Comal ISD, New Braunfels ISD, Schertz-Cibolo-Universal City ISD, and Marion ISD) across Comal and Guadalupe Counties. With campus-based social workers working hand-in-hand with administrators and teachers, CIS is the only program of its kind in the counties served, as well as the only comprehensive dropout-prevention program that addresses the academic, physical, and emotional needs of at-risk students from pre-K to high school graduation on a year-round basis.
